The rooms are in rough shape, with damp marks in the bathroom and an iron mark on the floor. Getting hot water means asking reception to switch it on. Breakfast is terrible: only coffee and croissants, with a choice between sweet and savory, and nothing set out on the communal table. There are very few options. Of the six outlets, just two work. Two of the others take the old round plugs from the '90s, and the last two don’t work at all.

The service is excellent, and the rooms are spotless. It’s centrally located, quiet, and everything felt impeccable.

It’s right downtown, just a few meters from the pedestrian street, and the breakfast is very good. The basics in the room were fine: clean sheets, a TV, a comfortable bed, and a good shower with hot water and towels. But the bathroom was tiny, and the door wouldn’t even close. We booked by phone, yet the receptionist quoted a different price when we arrived. The place is really run-down and could use a facelift. At reception there was a damp, dirty smell mixed with cigarette smoke. It needs more cleaning and products that make the place feel fresher.

I was there just for the weekend. The complex is obviously old, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. Breakfast was traditional and tasty. Check-in and check-out are available around the clock, and the location is excellent. I’d come back.
