The spa’s views make it a nice spot to unwind with friends or as a couple, so I’d recommend a spa day for that. I went just for the day and got a massage. I was definitely covered in oil afterward, but the massage itself wasn’t something I’d recommend.

The reception, spa, and food were wonderful during the 2 days my wife and I stayed. But on the second day, 2000 pesos went missing from my bags. I’m meticulous about my things, and I know there had been one 1000-peso note and two 500-peso notes. There were also two cameras in the bags, and those were left behind. We left the room messy, and when we came back it had been cleaned and tidied. I have nothing against the hotel itself, but I suspect someone with bad intentions among the people working there, specifically the housekeeper who cleaned our room. It isn’t a lot of money, but there were other things worth well over 2000 pesos, and if those had been taken this would be more than a review. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 5 years at one of the world’s most famous companies, and trust me, someone doing this there would be fired immediately. Even though everything else was great, this was a POOR experience for me, and I sadly have to rate it that way 🙁

Very disappointing. When we booked, we were told kids could use the spa pool, and they charged extra for each child, but then we found out children weren’t welcome there. There’s nothing for kids to do, and even the rooms have no TVs to keep them occupied. Parents looking for a relaxing stay should save their time. Lunch took two hours to arrive because, apparently, “the chef went to run an errand.” I’d really hoped for a better experience.

The asado selection is really good, and the food and service are outstanding. It’s a perfect place to enjoy San Lorenzo.
