El Cerrito Hostal

We’ll be back. Everyone was attentive right through our last moments there, and they helped with our luggage at the entrance stairs. After we explained that I’d had hip surgery and our room was on another floor, they moved us straight away. A very good hostel.

We left the apartment a day early after an unexpected change in plans, though our stay was booked from December 3rd to 5th. We paid in full, trusting management’s WhatsApp promise to find a way to refund the unused night. They even suggested recording it as a "no show" to speed things up. Once they had the money, though, their replies stopped being clear, and in the end they wouldn’t honor what they’d agreed to. We’d freed up the unit a day early so they could rent it again, but they kept our payment. The in-person service was excellent, which makes the management’s lack of follow-through especially disappointing. They put short-term profit ahead of being honest with customers. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you need a reliable option in an emergency.

Right by a superb location, with friendly service and excellent value for money. It’s an older hostel, but very clean and comfortable. Keep in mind it’s one floor up. Highly recommended.

A lovely hostel, with really friendly staff and a tasty breakfast of bread, butter, cream cheese, jam, croissants, coffee with milk, and orange juice. It’s near the main square, so there are lots of places to eat nearby, and the rooms were lovely too.
