Hostal Prisamata

I spent four nights here as a solo female traveller and would definitely stay again. It felt very safe, was easy to meet people, and the place was clean. The location was convenient, and the staff and volunteers were kind. Muchas gracias!

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and I had a great time. Pizza night and the father and son folklore duo were the highlights for me. Thanks, guys!

The dorm situation made me feel unsafe at Prisamata, and I don't think guests should be put in this position. One woman kept asking for my things. I gave her socks, and she also asked for my knickers and the snacks in my bag. Out of kindness, I went to a shop and bought her fresh knickers and socks. When I came back, I found my bag open and she was looking for a charger that would fit her phone. There were lockers in the room, but even when I opened mine, she asked me for more things. I need my belongings while travelling, and though I felt bad saying no because I don't like seeing people suffer, I did say no after already buying her fresh essentials. I'm kind and don't like refusing people, but I'm travelling on a budget and don't want to be put in that situation. I think they need to be careful about who they host or give free accommodation to, as it wasn't pleasant for the others in the room. Trotamumdos, where I went afterwards, was a breath of fresh air. Sorry, Prisamata, but please don't make your guests feel unsafe.

I stayed for almost three weeks, and the hostel became like home. So many of my memories of Argentina are tied to this place, and I made lots of good friends, especially the amazing staff, including Pablo and Anto. The location, the rooms, and the beautiful courtyard were all just what I'd want in a great hostel.
