La Posada De La Linda

Right in the center of Salta, so getting around is easy. Prices are reasonable too.

The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly, and the service good. Breakfast is available for a long stretch, and the location is convenient. The problem is the bar opposite the hostel: people fight and make a lot of noise until 3/4 of the night, before it closes.

It's a quiet area, close to the city center and 1.5 km from Paseo Balcarce. Service was excellent, prices affordable, and the rooms very comfortable. The shower got nice and hot with good pressure. Parking is limited.

Most of the staff were good, but one rude man, maybe the manager or owner, ruined the stay. He was angry that we hadn't paid on arrival, even though we'd been told we could pay later. When a guest wanted to use the bathroom in our room, he acted very aggressively. He seemed focused on money: we were charged as if six people were staying, though there were five, and he changed the parking price from what he'd quoted by phone. He said something along the lines of, “People come into the hotel, leave their bags, and then go to another hotel without paying.” The staff did nothing wrong, and I feel bad for them, but this manager was so bad that he takes away all the stars. The mattresses weren't comfortable, and at least in our room the bathroom had no edging to stop water spilling out. Luckily we stayed only one day.
