The owner is really friendly, and the house has a beautiful courtyard garden. Check-in is flexible, and they store luggage for free. It's a centrally located, family-run three-star hotel, with staff letting you in and out at any time. Each room is different, so it's best to see one in person. There are fewer mosquitoes upstairs, and you're away from the cigarette smoke and the air freshener used to cover it. The breakfast is best skipped, though there are great cafes nearby. Wi-Fi isn't good enough for work, and there are no desks.

I spent two weeks here and definitely recommend it. Room 10 faced the street, but I didn't hear any noise from other guests. It's three blocks from the main square. This is a very clean, excellent hotel run by an extremely friendly family, and the price was very reasonable: 1000 pesos for a room with a private bathroom and breakfast included. The bathroom was modern and small but fully functional. Breakfast was continental, with fresh produce every day.

Daniel Alexander and the rest of the team made us feel so welcome, especially since we were a little nervous about paying in cash. They did everything they could to help, including arranging an earlier breakfast than usual because we had to leave early that day. Thank you!

Our bus from Cafayate was running late, so we got to the hotel quite late on our second arrival in Salta that week. The friendly owner welcomed us warmly anyway. We only had one night before heading to mentoza, and breakfast was very good. The only small issue was that the internet connection wasn't very good in every room. Otherwise, it was great.

What makes Posada la Casona so special is the warmth of the family who own it. They greeted us with lovely conversations and kind gestures throughout our stay, creating a really special atmosphere. The place was pristine clean, and its location is perfect, just two blocks from the main plaza. My wife and I stayed for two nights, and if I could rearrange my time in Salta, I'd have stayed at Posada la Casona every single day. A true gem. I wholeheartedly recommend it for a trip to Salta!
