The elevator hit my mother twice as she was getting out today and left her arm bleeding badly. We filed a complaint and asked for the manager, but were told they weren’t there and were very busy. I don’t think that was an acceptable response, and nobody ever got back to us. A guest was injured and nothing was done. We’ve stayed here once or twice a year for the past 5 years, but this was the last time. The rooms also need proper upkeep. Something is always wrong: a leaking bathroom, broken air conditioning, or one tiny roll of toilet paper for three people for the whole day, so you have to complain. This time was the worst.

It gives you an authentic Argentine feel, and the service is good. A great base for a few days in San Antonio de Areco and the famous Argentine Humid Pampas. There is a restaurant at the hotel, though I’d suggest trying Esquina de Merti near the main square too.

We got a really good price for the services provided. The hotel is quiet, the rooms and shared areas are clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It was easy to get some proper rest here.
