Breakfast was a real highlight, with delicious croissants, sponge cake, fresh juice, jam, and cheese. The service was generally good, and we appreciated them finding us a place during such a busy weekend. The room was clean and came with towels, but we wouldn't stay in Room No. 9 again. We'd originally booked two nights at another hotel, but a booking mistake left them able to host us for only one, so they moved us to Hotel Los Ángeles. We understood that everything was full and this was likely one of the cheapest rooms available. Still, we paid 80,000 pesos a night over the long weekend. Even at a low price, we expected basic things to work: the shower sprayed water everywhere, the door had no handle, a dirty towel was being used as a bathmat, the walls were peeling, and the ceiling was very damp. The room's window faced the hotel's interior rather than outdoors. The reference photos show nicer bathrooms, so conditions may differ by room. We know a budget room won't be luxurious, but basic amenities should be in decent shape. The off-season price is very economical, and we do appreciate being accommodated, but we'd avoid that room.

The location is the strongest point, near the city center and tourist spots, and breakfast was decent. But the room was cramped, the beds wobbled, the pillows were very thin, and there was sand in the sheets. The bathroom was just as uncomfortable, with a broken door, a strong mildew smell, and hot water that was hard to adjust. I don't think the price matches what you get. With a little more time, we found places at the same price or cheaper that offered better comfort and facilities.

The shower had great water pressure, and the beds and towels were comfortable enough. But the room itself was far too cramped, with low ceilings and a mezzanine roof that came to a point. The stairs were steep and had tiny steps, so anyone going up could hit their head. Everyone who slept upstairs ended up with bumps and bruises. The bathroom door was completely broken, and there was no ventilation, so it got very damp after showering. The wardrobe was the only one in the room, and its doors and drawers kept sticking. The air conditioning worked great, but the lighting was awful, with yellow wall lights placed so badly they cast shadows. The TV wasn't especially old or new, and had no YouTube. There were six of us, but the woman checking us in said my three-year-old brother-in-law had to count as an extra person even though he slept with his parents and didn't use the bed she charged for. Since she had no room for six, she charged us for a room for seven. She could have charged me for an extra person, but not for one less. Breakfast wasn't a choice, they served whatever they wanted. I'm not usually demanding, but the food had little flavor, the drinks seemed watered down, and the coffee with milk tasted weak. There was an ant in the orange juice. The dining room is small, so a large family has to split up to eat. In my opinion, it wasn't worth what I was charged.

The beds were really comfortable, and the breakfast included in the rate was delicious. We had a good stay, though a few small bathroom problems could use repairs. One thing I'd never come across before was an extra charge for hot water for mate. Maybe other places do this, but I'd suggest asking about anything you're unsure of before booking.
