We were put on the third floor, so we had to use the stairs 🥴. There's no elevator, and that really limited how much we could enjoy the vacation. For the price, the location and facilities are pretty good, and the staff were honestly lovely. The owner should retire, though, she has no warmth when dealing with guests. Our room had very little ventilation, just one window and a ceiling fan that barely moved the air. Street noise came through clearly in the early hours, too. The bathroom was so-so. The best parts were the staff, apart from the owner, and the location, about two and a half blocks from the sea and roughly one block from the center.

The free breakfast was fantastic, filling and delicious. The service was excellent, and both the rooms and lobby were presentable and very nice. Everything was kept clean. I recommend the hotel if you're after comfort, affordable prices, and warm, inviting decor. There were a couple of drawbacks: damp patches on the walls, and a shower that could be better, especially after a day at the beach and in the city center.

I spent four days here over Christmas 2025. The room was comfortable to sleep in, and it looked like the bed frames had recently been replaced. Still, the room was very humid, and after every shower we had to mop the bathroom floor. There were only three outlets in the room, which is not many for an old hotel. Breakfast was the same all four days: stale toast and two croissants per person. At least the coffee was good. The information we got about Christmas dinner was that everything would be closed that night, including the hotel restaurant, so we should find something in the afternoon. They said they could lend us space in a refrigerator for a 500 ml bottle of cider and some food, and that the microwaves weren't working, so we could buy something cold. When we arrived with our food and cider in the late afternoon, we were told the fridge was full. We complained because the afternoon receptionist had promised space, and they eventually made room. That evening, we saw seven tables of people eating hot meals in the hotel restaurant. So was it closed, and was the microwave broken? We complained to the receptionist, who apologized for the misinformation but offered no explanation. She wouldn't let us talk to the manager or give us the complaints book. The service was a disaster, and I don't recommend the place. They seem to survive on groups from second-rate tour agencies.

For a two-star place, this hotel was really good. The room was very comfortable, with cable TV and hot water, and the staff were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean, the service was excellent, and the location right in the city center was superb. The hotel is very well equipped, and I'd definitely return to San Clemente, a beautiful city. Thank you!
