América Apart Hotel

The setting was quiet, and parking felt secure. Rooms are plain but clean, with good air conditioning and WiFi. Breakfast was adequate.

Fine for a brief stay, but the breakfast wasn't anything special and the cleaning wasn't great.

The receptionist was consistently helpful, and the man who checked us in was fantastic. That's why I'm giving the hotel two stars. Its location is handy, right by the ring road, but inside it's old and quite run-down, despite looking much nicer from outside. The price feels high for what you get. Our room was cramped and poorly maintained. One night there was no hot water, and the radiator wouldn't switch off. I had to leave it running for two days before they came to repair it. The bathrooms are ugly, too. Breakfast was among the worst I've seen at a hotel: white bread, stale croissants, butter and cream cheese, plus artificial juice and coffee. No eggs, cheese, cold cuts or sliced fruit. One morning, there wasn't even water.

The apartment rooms were spacious and really comfortable, and the service was excellent. Even with a crowd around, the pool was very clean. The carpets were stained throughout, though, and the coffee was hotter than it needed to be.
