A lovely view.

We only meant to stop briefly, but ended up staying three days. From the first day, we felt incredibly well looked after and comfortable. Every room faces the sea, just one block away, and the dinner was really tasty too. Julián, the owner, was wonderful: he welcomed us warmly, and would always greet us and chat with guests at breakfast or dinner. One day, Julián took us along the coast outside the city. It felt like a dream, with him guiding us, explaining things, sharing the history, and making it a lovely time. Really good people. Be sure to hear the hotel's stories too. This is a new favorite for us. San Julián is well worth visiting and exploring properly. We'll be back!

The waterfront location is spectacular, with ocean views and easy access. There are several room options, from singles to apartments and family rooms, and some have Jacuzzis. The spaces are roomy and generally very comfortable. For the amenities and accommodations, the price is economical, and the service is excellent and attentive.

We arrived to find there was no hot water for a shower. That evening we wanted seafood, and the owner assured us they had everything. We ordered salmon in sour cream sauce, but got dry, tasteless grilled trout with no sauce instead. There were four of us, yet only two dishes came at first. The other two took an hour, and arrived cold, small, and tasteless. The price was outrageous, especially since they also brought things we hadn't ordered. When we raised it with the waitress, all she said was “okay.” A really bad experience. I can't recommend it.
