Clean place, and someone clearly keeps an eye on it. A great stay.

The lack of upkeep showed throughout our one-night stay in a shared room. Floors were dirty, cobwebs were everywhere, and the bedrooms and dusty common dining areas looked neglected. The photos didn’t match the room. The bathroom was the most comfortable part, though it had mold too. I know the building is old, but that doesn’t explain the dirt. We were glad we hadn’t booked breakfast. Getting any sleep was hard. The wooden floors creaked loudly under normal steps, even though guests were expected to be completely quiet at night. The room was very hot, so we left the window open, and the street noise from the city center kept coming in. That, along with the feeling that the area was unsafe, made the night worse. The door lock also malfunctioned and made it difficult and unsafe to get out, while the electrical outlets didn’t work properly. The response to our criticism was the most disappointing part. Rather than acknowledge the obvious cleanliness and maintenance problems, the hotel tried to discredit us. They referred to a parking lot, but it was actually an open, unsecured space, so we left our car on the street. We also heard other guests complain about spa problems while we were there. They don’t accept criticism, and that says a lot. We paid for a service, whatever the price or the kind of car we arrived in.

They called me right away after finding my jacket in the room, and I really want to thank all the staff for that. The shower was also great, with strong water pressure and just the right temperature after a day out. Breakfast was very good, too. The location made getting around easy, since everything was close and we didn’t need long trips. I’d stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, good service, and a convenient base.

Just two blocks from Plaza San Martín and five from the lake, the location is a real plus. This is a lovely, simple and peaceful inn, with clean, comfortable rooms. The whole staff gave exceptional service and made us feel at ease. They were always glad to suggest places to visit and things to do. Highly recommended.
