We originally booked at La Fontaine, but the room there was so tiny we couldn’t open our luggage. They offered us a room at this other property, and we accepted. The breakfast at La Fontain was reasonable. The place itself was fairly nice, but the mattress and pillows weren’t great, the couch was broken, and there are two flights of stairs.

The service is kind, and the hotel itself is beautiful, though its location isn’t the most convenient for tourists. I’d skip breakfast there and look for one of the several good options just a few blocks away. There’s also a deck over the river where you can sit comfortably and smoke a cigar. 😉

We had a very quiet night and enjoyed sitting beside the stream. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, and the cleaning was excellent. Reception staff were attentive, and the location is great, just three blocks from the main street. I highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely be back.
