Ayres de Cuyo

I had a great time relaxing in the cabin, barbecuing on the grill, and gazing at the stars at night. There was also DirecTV and free WiFi for when I wanted to watch something or surf the web. I’d strongly recommend Ayres de Cuyo to anyone who wants to feel at home in a foreign country. The owners were welcoming and top notch professional, and the price was great for what you get. I’ll stay here again on my next visit to San Rafael Mendoza. I came from McAllen Texas at the beginning of Argentina’s winter season, rented a car, and set out to explore Mendoza. Ayres de Cuyo was much better than I expected. The owners had thought of all sorts of conveniences, including a car port for my rental. After dealing with big city parking, it was a nice surprise to park right outside my front door. There are about six identical, equally equipped cabins, with a security fence around the property. They’re centrally located for town and, especially, the world class Valentin Bianchi winery/bodega. The smell coming from the Bianchi bodega each evening was an out of this world experience for a wine lover. To me, it was like my favorite hot sauce Tabasco straight out of an oak barrel.
