I appreciated how attentive and friendly the front desk staff were. They even let me stay a few extra hours until my bus back left. I stayed in a rear room at Hotel Rex, also known by that name, and it faced the parking lot. Cars driving over the stone floor made a lot of noise whenever they came in, and a spotlight shone straight through the window at night, making it hard to sleep. It covers the basics of a 2-star hotel, with Wi-Fi, cable TV, breakfast, and hot water, though you have to let it run for 2 or 3 minutes first.

The staff were attentive, and the location is central. The building is clearly being renovated, but it still didn't feel comfortable or safe. There was no Wi-Fi or TV, and the old boiler wasn't working; fan heaters were being put in each room instead. The walls had damp, and parts of the wooden floors were raised. With half-board, the dining room is very small and doesn't match the number of guests it can take.

I'll add current photos that show it all. In words, the parquet is in awful shape, the room has extreme damp and peeling paint, and the comforters are stained, and I don't even want to imagine with what. There's a 7-inch TV with no cable, old fixtures and faucets, and water that's either freezing cold or boiling hot, your choice. Parking is open, and there's more. One word: TERRIBLE. DO NOT COME!

It's very central and the location is good, but the place is quite old, with lots of issues and shortcomings for a hotel. The staff are really attentive, friendly, and helpful, and they somehow manage to make up for some major deficiencies.

TERRIBLE! They charged 800 pesos for a double room, with no shampoo and no TV in the room. The receptionist lost the room key. They charged us for breakfast, then gave the money back the next day and told us to go eat breakfast later.
