The room wasn't properly clean when we arrived. There was dirt and a dead cockroach under the bed, and the hot water kept cutting out. We also had to adjust the toilet float after every flush. The ceiling fan looked like it might fall, and the kitchen had very few utensils, all of them looking years old. Breakfast was awful and repetitive. One morning it was tea and croissants from a bag left on the desk; another, toast and one small tub of cream cheese each. We were told each person could have two pieces of toast and one tub. There was no jam or anything sweet, and not even powdered milk, just three teas, bagged coffee, and damp sugar. They said they couldn't give us fresh towels because people use them during Carnival and get them dirty, so we spent all four days with the same towels.

The place was extremely dirty, and the setting felt bleak. Our car mirror was stolen, which says plenty about the location. The manager even took our room keys as we were heading out to see the city. For all that, the price was extremely high. The included “breakfast” was just tea. Avoid it unless you want to feel like you're in prison.

The room was tiny and smelled damp. I can understand a higher rate during Carnival, but 70,000 pesos is far too much for what's offered. Breakfast costs 10,000 pesos, yet you have to ask for everything, even cups, and find out whether the water needs heating or if there's sugar. You get two pieces of toast, spreadable cheese, and tea bags or mate gourds.

I rented a bed in a shared room, and it was the worst I've ever seen. The damp smell was strong, and three people had just one outlet between them, right beside one of the beds. There's also a single key for everybody, which you have to leave at reception whenever you go out.

The location was good, and they supplied both bath and hand towels, plus soap and toilet paper. The rooms were comfortable, though there were some damp problems. Breakfast was limited to tea and coffee.
