La Nilda

The owners were very kind and responsive throughout our week in cabin number 1. Leandro and Mariela offered to move us to another cabin for better Wi-Fi and changed our sheets when we needed it. Still, there were enough problems with furniture and cleanliness that our stay was negative. The nightly rate is among the most affordable in Tandil, but that doesn’t excuse everything, and the distance from the center is something you know about before arriving. We liked the peaceful setting, the birds, the owners’ adorable dogs, and the well-kept green space. There was a good parking spot, an outdoor table and chairs, and a grill. The cabin had plenty of room for two, a comfortable bed with good-quality sheets, working air conditioning, a clean refrigerator, and DirecTV. The water dispenser was useful because the tap water isn’t drinkable. The Wi-Fi didn’t reach this cabin. The small, old square TV could use replacing, the kitchen table wobbled, and the old kitchen furniture and cooking utensils need updating since everything sticks. The kettles were old and had limescale, the sink clogged, and the faucet handles needed adjusting. Under the cupboard, a bucket was catching a leak from the faucet drain, with two beer bottles beside it. In the bathroom, the button didn’t work properly, the shower faucet didn’t work, and the drain grate was loose. The bedroom cabinet was very old and missing a handle. There was a slight musty smell when we came back to the cabin, and the front door was hard to open and close. Twice, a frog got inside and scurried under the door, and there was a cobweb above it. The pool area was nice, though some cobwebs were at eye level. Its wooden loungers were old, the table was broken, and one deck plank was extremely loose. The pool was a little dirty on the first day, then clean for the rest of our stay.

So grateful from the very first moment, 10/10. It’s one of those rare places that makes you feel truly at home. The welcome, atmosphere, and little details make you want to come back.

We’d gladly stay again after such a lovely night. The woman who welcomed us was very pleasant, and the quiet, landscaped setting is away from the city center. Everything was very clean, with thoughtful touches like a water bottle, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and bed linens.

Booking was simple, and they replied quickly and clearly. My partner, our daughter, and I stayed three nights. The facilities were in perfect condition, the heating was adequate, and the service was excellent. I’d definitely book again.
