Posada La Protegida

Warm and cozy, a really nice place.

Fernanda and her whole team made our stay feel special, from reception and the assistants to the maintenance staff. We came for a few days to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the place itself is beautiful. Breakfast had a huge variety, including plenty of healthy choices, and the restaurant menu was excellent. We highly recommend it and will be back soon. Thanks for everything!

The staff were warm and friendly, especially a waitress who said she only worked weekends. She was always kind, answered our questions, and suggested places we asked about. The suites are bright and spacious. There’s a heated pool, though it’s too hot, as well as another pool with natural water. Breakfast wasn’t great for us: lots of pastries, but not many healthier choices.

What brings us back to La Protegada is how flexible the people are. You can ask for something different and they’ll either say yes or offer an alternative, so your stay can be what you expect. The restaurant is very good and the massages are a pleasure. There are a few small maintenance issues, but they’re minor next to all that. We’ve been back to this resort in the city, where there are many good options, and had another excellent stay. We’ll return again!
