We spent a week there to get away from the big city, and getting there was an adventure: a train from Buenos Aeries, then a ferry to a wooden pier. From there it’s a very short walk to a drawbridge, which they lower so you can cross to the property. We stayed in the old convent, with marvellous views across the grounds. The room was comfortable but basic. The open-air restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices, considering there aren’t other options unless you take a ferry somewhere else. The staff are friendly and helpful. Few speak English, but we managed with Google Translate. Starlink WiFi was fast enough for me to work while we were there. We enjoyed walks around the grounds and took the free canoes out to explore the waterways. I’d recommend it if you like nature and peace.

Silvina and Damian are naturally easygoing, friendly hosts who made sure we had what we needed for a relaxing stay. Monica and Sol cooked lovely, wholesome meals from local fresh produce. There are kayaks guests can use for free, and paddling down river was a great way to explore. We had a lovely time and will definitely come back. It’s so easy to reach from Buenos Aires. Some earlier guests had trouble getting to Senador Dupont, but remember, you arrive by boat, not by car. It’s a good spot if you want to get away from cars. After getting off the boat, walk about five minutes until you see the green metal bridge on your right. That’s the place. You can ask locals along the way, too. It’s not difficult. A gem of a retreat, thank you all! Nothing unsavoury, we enjoyed it all.

One of the worst stays I’ve had. I strongly do NOT recommend it. Getting there was a hassle. You have to arrive by boat, and the waterway was full of garbage, which made a terrible first impression. Then, once we reached the property, finding our room took nearly 30 minutes. The room was cramped and extremely small, with so many mosquitoes that we couldn’t rest. Sound carried everywhere, so when our child couldn’t sleep because of the noise, we had to leave after one night even though we’d booked two. The facilities and cleanliness were poor. The toilet flush button was broken, and the air conditioner kept leaking until our luggage was soaked and damaged. The sheets were yellowish and didn’t feel clean. When we asked for a refund for the unused second night, the front desk simply refused and made no effort to help or suggest a solution. The location, cleanliness, facilities and service all fell far below what we expected, and it wasn’t worth the price. Avoid this place if you can.
