The heated indoor and outdoor pools were a highlight, especially after exploring Ushuaia, and the spa was outstanding. Dining was another strong point, with excellent food that felt up to international standards. Service throughout was impeccable, attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and very comfortable, with a design that brings the landscape in without losing sophistication. Set high above the city, Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa has breathtaking panoramas of the Beagle Channel, the Andes, and Tierra del Fuego National Park. The architecture sits beautifully in its natural surroundings, giving the place a rare sense of serenity, grandeur, and exclusivity. As a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, it fully lives up to its prestigious status. It's a destination in itself and unquestionably one of Patagonia's finest hotels.

The outdoor pool is awesome, and it's the only place besides the rooms where you can really enjoy the view. The food and drinks were incredible, and the service was impossible to fault. But if you want the bay panorama, book a bay-facing room. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive out of town. It looks closer, but there's a long, winding road up to it, and it's pretty boring to drive. We had a car, so it didn't bother us too much. We chose Arakur for the views, though, and found the bar, restaurant, and social areas are all down at the bottom of the hotel, where you can't really see them. Even where there are big windows, trees in front block the view. We got a mountain-facing room instead of a bay-facing one. It was fine, but looked over the usual back-of-hotel work area before you got a decent mountain view. We thought we'd paid for the bay view, and wouldn't have minded our room view as much if we could enjoy the scenery from the bar. Make sure you book facing the bay or you may miss out.

I really liked the massage I had at the spa, and all the staff were extremely helpful. Being outside town has its perks, too: the surrounding views are gorgeous, and the outdoor heated pools are fabulous in chilly Ushuaia. They provide a free shuttle back and forth to town, so the distance wasn't much of an issue. I also only paid 6,500ARS for an Uber. The odd thing was the window between the bathroom and bedroom. I'd definitely stay again.

I slept better here than anywhere since leaving home four weeks ago. The views are great, the facilities are great, and so are the service and restaurant, with A1 food, drinks, and service. It's a long way from town, but the free shuttle runs from morning until 11 pm and takes care of that. One of my top three hotels in South America.

It's wonderfully quiet here, surrounded by nature, with an outstanding, breathtaking view. They have a stable and organize horse riding tours, which I strongly recommend for riders at any level. You can explore some of the trails on horseback and see spectacular views along the way.
