Campanilla

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and getting around was easy with Uber, which was cheap. Hotel La Campanilla is outside the city, near the airport, with a supermarket close by. The room was small but comfortable, with a good bed and a nice shower after a long day exploring. Breakfast was very basic: jam and toast, coffee, milk, and tea. The bar didn’t stand out, and the dry white wine they served was spoiled, which was disappointing. Truly dry white wines can be hard to find in Argentina, where many locals prefer red or sweet “dry” whites. If you’re particular about wine, seek out tastings to find one that suits your taste. It was an okay stay, but nothing outstanding. 6/10.

The price is very reasonable, and from what I saw, families, groups, and solo travelers should all feel at home, especially by the fireplace. The new owners are doing a much-needed renovation, and so far the work points to a promising future. Best of all, they’re truly wonderful hosts.

The rooms were cozy and nice, and everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. WiFi was the one drawback. It worked only about half the time, and was better during the day when fewer people were at the hotel.

The hotel had good staff and a good breakfast. It’s a bit far from the center, around an hour on foot or a $6 taxi ride. We had to leave early on checkout day and asked if any kind of breakfast could be provided, but they offered only tea or coffee. Even some cookies would have been fine.
