Hotel Mustapic

We only stayed one night, which felt about right. The mattress was good, and the central heating blew hot air and worked well. The building is old but clean. The shower was hot, though the water pressure was low. I wouldn’t choose it for a weeklong stay.

The view from the restaurant on the fifth floor earns the second star. The rooms are small and dated, and the heating can’t be adjusted. Opening the windows is the only way to cool the room, which was pretty annoying in the middle of the night. Breakfast was very basic. I stayed here once and won’t be back. If all you need is a basic bed and somewhere to leave your bags, it could work.

The rooftop lounge where breakfast is served has spectacular sunrise views. It’s a well run hotel with a big heart, though the rooms are small and the building is older.

The breakfast room views are hard to beat, and the hotel is good value, within easy walking distance of everything in town. Staff were welcoming and always smiling. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean, and breakfast was basic, fresh, and nice. The one small drawback was the automated heating and air conditioning, which made the room too hot and stuffy. I opened a window at night and that helped. Seems common in Ushuaia.
