Finca La Penúltima-Posada

I’ve stayed here several times and it’s always lovely. Ines is friendly and speaks multiple languages, and the dogs made me feel right at home. There’s a picturesque mountain and pool setting, comfy beds, and quiet nights. Muchas gracias!

At La Finca Penúltima, the owners were around whenever we needed help or had questions, while still giving us complete privacy. Inga’s food in the suite, if you’re lucky enough to try it, is seriously the best food ever. My partner and I found it the most welcoming, relaxing place we stayed during our months traveling from city to city. We could hang a hammock anywhere on the land and soak up the sun. The cabaña was super cute, with a comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and quiet surroundings, so we caught up on months of lost sleep. We loved having wine on the private patio in the evening before the millions of stars came out. There’s also a setup for making asado with a big group or family. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook if we didn’t feel like walking anywhere in 25 de Mayo for food. The bathroom was a good size to share, and the shower was the easiest to operate that we’ve had in Argentina. On hot days the cabaña stayed cool, and on one cold night we lit the fireplace, which warmed the whole place. Very romantic. Direct TV was available too, if we’d wanted it. We were traveling without a car and found the finca easy to reach from San Rafael using the directions on the website. We bought groceries in town, found good places to eat within walking distance, and on Sunday picked up local bread and treats from the street stands. I’d love to come back in summer to try the pool, or just get away from the city and reconnect with nature.
