Cabañas Don Ivan

Cockroaches everywhere, and the place was filthy and neglected. I stayed there over New Year's and would never return. I can't recommend it.

It's a nice place, which makes the condition such a shame. The price feels high for what you get: Wi-Fi was poor, the cable service was terrible, and there was a strong musty smell along with old grime and cobwebs. Rodent droppings were everywhere, and mice kept me awake. There isn't much storage under the counter, just enough space for a frying pan, so you have to ask for things. The single-burner gas stove runs out quickly, and I wouldn't recommend it. Hygiene was very poor.

The owner was friendly, but that was the only redeeming part of our stay. We only went because we couldn't find anywhere else, and the cabin was in a badly neglected state. It was dirty throughout, with spiders and cobwebs everywhere, mold from the damp, and anthills in the bathroom. The bathroom and bedroom doors were broken and had no handles. The microwave was so filthy it couldn't be used, and it clearly hadn't been cleaned. There were no utensils in the cabin, so you had to ask for them. We travel a lot and can adapt to most things, but not to dirt like this. Very expensive for what they offer, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The cabin was pleasant enough, though its general condition was only fair. We had to ask for kitchen utensils, and there weren't enough cooking items for our group. We were also short on pillows and blankets. I hope the feedback helps, since I always feel things can be improved.
