Hotel Interlac

The garden was a nice place to have some mate or a quick snack before a walk, and guests can get hot or cold water, which is a big plus. There are two medium-sized pools for cooling off if you don't feel like going to the river, plus an elevator. The room had Wi-Fi and air conditioning, though the mattress could be better; overall it was comfortable. We had a wonderful stay in Villa Carlos Paz at the Interlac Hotel. The location and breakfast were both 10/10, and the staff were very friendly.

The staff were so unfriendly, and the whole atmosphere was terrible. The food tasted good, but there was no variety, just noodles, rice, and a few other things every time. The rooms were quite small, though cleanliness was excellent. The elevator never worked. By the third day, the heated pool was dirty and cold. Breakfast was disastrous: stale croissants, awful cake, and coffee that was either scalding hot or ice cold, with nothing in between. Seriously!

Bring one of those small pillows that goes around your neck for the bus. And the officers are really good, especially one who was the best and deserves a lot of credit. I think his name was Maxi, though I’m not sure I got it right. I’ll try to say it correctly next year. He’s the best officer.

The mattresses are much too thin. We’ve also been asking for three days for someone to check the air conditioning in our room, but it still doesn’t work, and it’s over 30°C in Carlos Paz.
