Hotel Linz

We loved the quiet common areas, where it was easy to chat, have a drink, play games, or just relax. We went as a couple for a week, and the whole atmosphere was lovely, at least in December. There's plenty of covered parking, and even when we came down for breakfast at 10 a.m., there was still lots left. The hotel looks great and is well-maintained. The rooms are a little dated, but clean, and everything worked perfectly, which matters a lot to me. They have carpeted floors, but my allergies didn't give me any trouble. The rooms didn't feel small either. You're there to sleep, not hold a wedding. It's close to everything, in an area that feels safer than the average in Villa Carlos Paz. We left very happy and keen to come back.

The place is clean and tidy, and both the outdoor pool area and indoor pool are nice. Breakfast is about what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel. The location is very good, in a quiet area close to bars and the center. My room was very small. There are steps and uneven ground throughout the hotel, including two steps to get into the bathroom, and there's no elevator to the first-floor rooms. That could be an issue for older guests or anyone with mobility problems. Staff service could be better too: more friendliness, and tables cleared after guests leave.

The pool area is lovely, with tables and chairs for relaxing outside. The rest of the hotel is quiet and clean, and everyone was friendly. There are three parking spaces with plenty of room. Breakfast was basic, but there was always something for everyone. We went as a couple after reading some really extreme reviews, but it was worth it. The room wasn't large, though it was fine for two, and the box-spring bed was quite comfortable. The carpet and brown bathroom look like they're from the 70s, but that's just the appearance, everything was spotless and in perfect condition. The shower had strong pressure, but it was hard to get the temperature right. The TV and air conditioning worked perfectly. The location is good, neither too central nor too far away. You can walk to the center easily because it's busy.

The location is excellent, close to everything, with the Luxor Theatre nearby and restaurants for every budget. It's also only two or three blocks from the bus terminal. I stayed five nights with my son and would gladly return next year. A real plus is that after checking out at 10:00 AM, you only have to leave your room. If you're without a car and relying on a long-distance bus, you can leave your things in the lobby or outside by the barbecue area, tables, games, and mini-gym, then keep using the pools, tables, chairs, foosball, ping pong, and gym. That's fantastic if your flight isn't until 4:00 or 6:00 PM, or even later at night. It says a lot about the hotel and its staff. The hotel has great promotions. I got 20% off before December 22nd, then paid the regular rate for one extra night after the offer expired. It's a beautiful place, and the pool cleaning and room cleaning were excellent, truly outstanding. The pools were impeccably clean too. Breakfast was excellent, though I'd suggest adding a few more items. I'd also suggest putting a toilet brush and floor squeegee in the bathrooms. Even with cleaning staff, it's good manners to clean the toilet after using it so nothing is left behind for them to find the next day. A squeegee would make it easy to clean up dust or dirt tracked in after a shower or wearing flip-flops. I don't mind doing that myself.
