Hotel Saint Tropez

Five stars.

Maite picked a great hotel for us. We felt welcomed like family, and India, our little dog, was happy too, getting so much affection. Everyone on staff was outstanding. Vanesa especially deserves 100 out of 100 for being helpful, kind, resourceful, affectionate, and fair and respectful with all the guests. Thanks so much for everything. Goodbye from Room 62.

It’s a welcoming, comfortable place, simple but nice. Everyone working there was very friendly.

My girlfriend and I booked three nights, and the stay was awful. The first room had no working heaters or outlets apart from the one for the TV. This was on June 20, when it was 5 degrees Celsius (41 degrees Fahrenheit). They moved us to another room where the heaters and other things worked, but the bathroom was a mess: the shower curtain was torn, water got everywhere, the showerhead barely dribbled, and the toilet seat was broken. We reported the shower, and they said they’d fixed it, but they hadn’t. There was nowhere to hang a towel or keep shampoo and soap in the shower. There were no room phones to call reception. The croissants at breakfast were hard and looked awful. The whole hotel seemed poorly maintained and the cleaning was bad. There was just one hairdryer for the entire place, which you had to collect downstairs and return, getting dirty looks in the process. The TV and remotes didn’t work, and the batteries were dead. Rooms are on the first or second floor, reached by stairs. The staff were the only good part. The place doesn’t match the photos and doesn’t meet even a 2-star hotel or hostel standard. I’d give it zero stars if I could, but the form only lets me give one. I can’t recommend it.
