The peace and the views make this a lovely place to spend a few days unwinding, though without a car you’re a long way from most things. The old town center is the nearest option, so going out for dinner can be a bit tricky. The lake-facing room gives you a beautiful sunrise over the mountains. Breakfast was decent, with plenty of pastries that you had to request from someone across the counter, plus different fruit each day. For Valentine’s Day they cut the fruit into hearts and decorated the dining room, which looked beautiful. The receptionists, room service, and cooks were all 10/10. You enter with a wristband that can get wet, which is handy if you tend to lose room keys. The lake-view pool was FREEZING, even when I tried going in during the hottest part of the day. It was so beautiful, but hard to enjoy at that temperature, and they should fix it. The heated pool was HEAVENLY at night, just the right temperature for swimming. The solarium was comfortable, though there weren’t many seats. From noon on, they played music quietly in the courtyard, and I’m not sure if that’s why. The shared lounge is good for families, with comfy armchairs and a PlayStation 5.

The beautiful view is the main thing this hotel has going for it. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than one night. The bed was meant to be king-size, but it was really three single mattresses tied together with elastic bands. We also couldn’t get the phone connection to the Smart TV to work. Breakfast was disappointing, with no protein and very poor-quality bread. We weren’t told that the restaurant only opens for dinner if you book ahead, so we couldn’t eat there. Outside food isn’t allowed either. The outdoor heated pool wasn’t warm, and the unheated one was freezing. Pool towels were very worn and had holes. Parking is along the street leading to the hotel, with no cover.
