The owner was friendly. Cheap and relaxing.

The location is good, near the center, and the place was almost empty on the weekend in mid-February. I stayed in room #7, a six-person female dorm, with a really nice panoramic city view. Fer at reception was super attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it felt clean and secure, with individual lockers in the rooms. There were some drawbacks. The private bathroom shower faucet was broken and kept falling to the floor, so we couldn’t turn off the water while showering. Our room had no toilet paper or liquid soap. A cleaning lady restocked the other rooms, but not ours, so we told reception. Also, if you go out at night, the door is locked and you have to ring the bell and wait to be let in. Breakfast was just coffee or tea with milk, croissants, and bread. A pitcher of cold juice or some yogurt would’ve been nice, especially in the hot summer weather, though it was acceptable for the price. I’d recommend it to tourists who plan to be out exploring all day and just need a bed and somewhere to leave their things. It’s an economical option for that. If you’re not expecting a four-star hotel, or a pool on hot days, it’s ideal.

Nagual was one of my favorites out of more than 25 hostels I’ve stayed in, in Argentina and abroad. It’s clean, comfortable, well maintained, and has good Wi-Fi. It’s also very close to both the city center and the bus terminal. Fernanda is fantastic and always helps with whatever you need for a great stay. I’ll be back!

The photos show the view and the hostel lounge. It’s a really nice place, close to everything, and Fer, the manager, is great.

There are lots of tables and chairs in the common areas, and the staff are very friendly and ready to tell tourists about the activities around the city. The place is welcoming, affordable, reasonably well-equipped, and well located. The shower can give you hot or cold water as needed, and breakfast is about what you’d expect for the price. Rooms have fans but no air conditioning. The kitchen is equipped, though it could use more items, like stoves or pans, for groups of four or more. There’s no covered parking, but three cars can park on the sidewalk. There’s also plenty of street parking and lots of shade trees. They offer a soccer package, which is a big plus for me.
