The pool is large and we really enjoyed it, though it’s deep throughout and not suitable for small children. The room was clean, spacious, and tidy, and the location was good. It was quiet and easy to get a good night’s sleep. So the stay was generally fine, but we would have appreciated a kinder welcome and fewer odd incidents. Before we arrived, Patricia gave us the actual price, but the evening shift worker quoted a much higher one. When we paid, she charged the price she had quoted, which still struck us as strange. A price list that everyone follows would help prevent someone from trying to charge much more and profit from it. Patricia also explained that we had to be extremely careful with the key, since losing it meant being charged for a night. We understood that there was a charge and that this information mattered, but the way she put it felt odd. We’re all over 30 and didn’t need to be spoken to like ill-mannered children. At breakfast, she wasn’t attentive to restocking items as they ran out, despite not handling other tasks at the time. More than once, we and other guests had to ask, while breakfast was still being served and we weren’t late. When we checked out and requested an invoice, she wouldn’t give it to us then, saying we had to wait for the accountant and that it would take a month. Contrary to what other reviews said, we didn’t feel warmly welcomed by Patricia; she wasn’t friendly.

The surroundings are very peaceful, and the patio and pool area are spacious and inviting. The views are breathtaking, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Our room had a kitchenette, was very comfortable, and got housekeeping every day. It works well for families or couples, though it’s a bit far from the town center to walk. Breakfast was satisfactory, but the items felt a little dated and a bit more fruit would be nice. 10/10, I’d definitely return.

Such a spacious place to relax, with stunning views. I loved it. The staff were wonderful and everything was impeccably clean. I’ll be back next time I visit Merlo!

Patricia’s service was excellent, and the place was very clean. There’s a big garden and a lovely pool, but no shallow section for toddlers, it starts at around 1.5 meters deep. The mattresses were good, though the pillows less so, and the shower water was fantastic. The parking spaces have metal roofs. It’s about 30 blocks from the city center, and highly recommended for the price.
