Hotel Algarrobo

This was the second-worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was a total rip-off and not worth the money. Just look at my photos, if Google will actually post them. The walls had huge holes, including one patched with cardboard, and electrical wires were hanging out. The shower drain was clogged and flooded the bathroom with filthy water. They gave us a squeegee to push it toward the floor drain. We asked them to fix it, but their plumber obviously couldn’t. For some strange reason, about 15 huge bolts or screws stuck out of the shower wall at foot level. They scraped and scratched our feet until they were bloody. What the hell? They didn’t provide shower soap, and there was only the usual half-used roll of toilet paper, with no spare. There’s no way to control the heat in the rooms. The gas furnace kept cycling, so we were either burning up and sweating with all the windows open, or freezing when it shut off. Breakfast was a joke. Nothing was prepared; you had to tell them what you wanted and then wait. Like all those pathetic hotels, they served instant coffee, which isn’t fit for a goat. We honestly deserve a refund!
