Posada La Sonada

We came as a couple for a summer vacation. The staff were excellent and friendly, cleaning was generally good, and we liked the pool view and the convenient touchscreen key system for entering and leaving. The location near the center of Villa General Belgrano is another plus. The inn has a lot of potential, and we’d come back, though there are quite a few things that could be improved. The pool is large, but it wasn’t completely clean. The entry pole was loose, and after swimming the water left our skin blue. There also isn’t enough shade or enough umbrellas and chairs around the pool when lots of families are there. The room was very humid, the curtain was torn, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. The bathroom worked fine but looked old. The bed gets a 5 out of 10 from me, and the pillows were awful. Even with two, we couldn’t sleep comfortably. Breakfast had some good points: homemade pudding and croissants, good milk, and a nice range of teas. But the cheese was too heavy, and both the cheese and jam were very poor quality. The toilet paper was poor too. There’s no air conditioning in the breakfast area. The upstairs armchairs are old, and the books there for guests to read are in terrible shape. Housekeeping had a few lapses despite the good cleaning overall. We found a pill in a drawer left by a previous guest. A bag of trash wasn’t going to be thrown away until we asked the cleaner, who didn’t seem to recognize it as rubbish. The entrance also needs clearer signs, and they should accept credit cards instead of cash only. Thank you.

The location couldn’t be better, and the pools are a real treat. It’s a beautiful place, with a lovely atmosphere, excellent service, and decent rooms. The breakfast buffet was delicious, though a little more variety would be welcome. For a 3-star hotel, I’d rate it 10 out of 10.

The heated pool and garden were sparkling clean, and everything was beautifully kept. Our room was bright, spacious, and spotless, and breakfast had a good, complete variety. My husband, sister, and I stayed for two nights starting October 20, 2025. Yanina and Angeles took excellent care of us. It’s a very peaceful place, highly recommended. I hope we can return. The breakfast was mixed: the coffee wasn’t good, but the croissants and pastries were very good. There was fresh squeezed juice, toast bread, ham, and cheese for sandwiches, though not much fruit. Wi-Fi was acceptable and parking was limited. Cleaning is included when renting a room, and they change the towels every day. It’s well placed, 5 km from Villa General Belgrano and 5 minutes from Santa Rosa de Calamuchita. We got a warm welcome, and the staff were attentive. The property was clean and tidy, with a patio and garden, a children’s play area, a pool, shaded shared spaces for snacks or lunch, and a makeshift grill. The rooms could use maintenance. The closet doors didn’t open properly, and the TVs had noisy, faulty volume or speakers. In the main bedroom, the mini-fridge motor was so loud it had to be unplugged to get any rest. If you want a budget hotel, this is the best option.
