Hotel ACA Villa Gesell

Our duplex room was really comfortable, with a double bed, two single beds, and two bathrooms. I went with friends for just a few days and made the most of the direct beach access, outdoor pool, and heated pool. I could go to the beach when the weather was good, then use the heated pool when it cooled down. Everyone was outstandingly friendly, and I'd happily come back alone. They have quick lunch options like empanadas and salads, and the restaurant serves excellent food in the evening. Highly recommended for the service, amenities, location, and price. 🏆

My daughters' message: don't leave without getting a massage from the spa team. They thought it was excellent! We had a triple room for seven days, my first stay at the hotel, with my daughters aged 25 and 19. Maria at reception was a gem and gave excellent service from the moment I booked. The whole team deserves a mention, from reception and dining room staff to housekeeping and support. Everyone was ALWAYS SMILING. The hotel and its outdoor and heated pools are beautiful and in perfect condition, with pools cleaned 24/7 and lifeguards there all day. The grounds and barbecue area are lovely, and the cleaning was superb around the clock. The staff are what make this place special, then the facilities. The beach is just steps away. Thanks for making our week such a wonderful vacation. We'll be back again and again!

We had lots of good things during our 10-night January stay with family, and I would come back. The hotel offered a crib when I mentioned I was traveling with a baby, which saved us bringing a travel cot. They also offered a baby bathtub, though we didn't need it. We had a superior room facing the front of the hotel; we could see the strollers through the plants, but that wasn't a problem, and the spacious grounds gave us a lovely green view. Breakfast was very good and complete. The dining room's children's corner, with a small table, chairs, and toys, was a lifesaver for keeping our little one busy. Jasmin was especially kind and attentive at breakfast. Outside there are two pools, a small one for children and a bigger one, plus games, umbrella tables, and a barbecue area where you can order food and smoothies. Inside there's a heated pool and a games room with foosball, board games, and a soft play area. Pool towels are provided. We didn't try the massages or Scottish shower. A few things could be better. The room cleaning needs improvement. In the dining room, the staff play music from their phones because the sound system is broken. We understood that dinner needed to be confirmed at reception before 6:00 PM, but it was before 2:00 PM. We called the kitchen anyway at 5:00 PM, and the chef said no. They could offer another choice, perhaps something other than the daily menu, like pizza, hamburgers, or a simple snack platter, but not just a simple option. If I'm not mistaken, dinner started at 8:30 PM, so at 5:00 PM there seemed to be time to offer something else. The indoor pool opens at 11 am while waiting for the lifeguard. On a rainy day in the middle of summer, and at a family hotel where children get up early 🙃, it should open at 10 am.

The staff are really friendly, and breakfast is good, though pretty average. There isn't enough parking near the entrance, and the few spaces there are uncovered. Rooms are noisy, so you can hear conversations and the TV next door. They don't sweep under the beds, and clean towels aren't provided every day. The common hallways near the rooms need signs asking guests not to shout or to keep quiet, as well as curfews, 7 pm for children and 9 pm for adults. They should make clear that the restaurant and massages are only available in peak season, since neither is offered in March. I'm giving it 3 stars.
