Tequendama Spa & Resort

Super stay.

I spent two hours at the spa, and it was a lovely place, very welcoming and clean. The receptionists and lifeguards in the circuit area gave excellent service, and Carolina's massages are the best. I highly recommend it. I'm giving it four stars because the sauna wasn't working, so I couldn't use it. That left me disappointed.

The hotel's location is fantastic, half a block from the beach, with beautiful views. The building and decor are striking, and the bathrooms are beautiful. Service is excellent: they help with whatever you need and provide beach chairs and towels. Housekeeping did a good job too. This is my second stay, and the breakfast was delicious and very complete. After 10 am, the dining room turns into a restaurant with very tasty food. The rooms feel dated and don't work very well for a large family like mine, with five people. There's a gym, though it's not very well equipped, plus an indoor heated pool, spa, and movie theater. The films they show aren't great. Still, it's a very nice hotel.

I stayed in the exclusive section at "DOMOS DEL TEQUENDAMA" Hotel and, honestly, this is the first time I've had almost nothing to complain about. The one drawback was that the water was lukewarm during peak hours instead of very hot. In summer, that wasn't a big deal. The dome is modern and very well equipped. In the outdoor area at the back there's a pool, jacuzzi, lounge chairs, tables, chairs, and a grill shared with the other dome, which makes it feel exclusive. Inside, there's Alexa, air conditioning, a VERY COMFORTABLE bed, a useful sofa bed, a clothes rack, and INDEPENDENT INTERNET FOR THE DOME SECTION. That last part mattered because I came to work and was able to do so perfectly. The ocean view is breathtaking, and the dome's bathroom is amazing. There are showers outside too, so you can rinse off the sand before going into your room. The food is excellent. Breakfast is incredible, the sushi is the best in all of Gesell, and the regular menu is quite extensive. There's a good range of wines, with pretty reasonable high-season prices. Reception, restaurant staff, cleaning, and maintenance all provided impeccable service and went above and beyond to make guests happy. I arrived at 9 PM after spending the day at the beach and visiting friends. Although check-in was at 2 PM, the staff helped carry everything up to my room. The manager had already told the kitchen I might order sushi and asked them to serve me if I arrived within the next hour, since it would be after 10 PM. They welcomed me with the sushi in my room. There are nice indoor and outdoor pools and plenty of lounge chairs and chairs, something many hotels lack. They lend you lounge chairs for the beach, which is fantastic, and there's a garage that's decent for the number of rooms. The gym is very well equipped, with everything you need to work out, unlike places with only one or two machines. I would add a board game for the dome. There's none at present. It has a low table and two stools, but they're not very comfortable for working or eating. The price is high, but I left happy and felt the effort they put into making the stay pleasant was worth it.
