Hotel Demi

The rooms have the basics: a TV, a little table and chair, and towels. There's a very convenient store right across the street, and breakfast is quite complete. The hotel is very clean, they change the towels regularly, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The price is reasonable, too. Just be aware there's no air conditioning. In our room, the ceiling fan seemed loose and made a lot of noise at night, so the ventilation wasn't very good.

I'm celiac, and they put together a breakfast for me with rice cakes, sweet cookies like Oreos, a rice bar, a rice alfajor, gluten-free cheeses, and jam. The regular breakfast was complete too, with pastries, gluten-free toast, croissants, cakes, tea, juice, and fresh water. The rooms are very well soundproofed, which made the atmosphere pleasant, even though the building is older. Reception is open around the clock. Everything was excellent, and we'd definitely return.

The little terrace was a lovely place to have lunch or dinner, or just enjoy some mate. The location is excellent, right in the center, close to restaurants and laundromats, and only two blocks from the beach. Hotel Demi was exactly what I needed: quiet, clean, and with someone always around to help. All the staff stood out for their service, especially Emiliano, who was consistently friendly and ready to help. I'll stay here again when I'm back in Villa Gesell.

The room was a letdown: the shower water was cold and barely trickled out, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out and didn't work. The TV only has cable, no YouTube, and there's no bottled water for sale at reception. Breakfast runs from 8 to 10 am, earlier than at other hotels I've stayed in. What they served was burnt, stale croissants, packaged toast, powdered juice, and tap water with ice. I wouldn't return or recommend it.
