Gran Hotel La Cumbre

The view has to be the best in La Cumbre, and you do pay for it. The hotel is welcoming and nicely kept, though it could use a little updating. Everyone who served us was very, very friendly. Breakfast was quite good and plentiful, with a couple of choices including bread, pastries, ham, cheese, and yogurt. The pool is large but outdoors. My only complaint was that there weren’t enough electrical outlets in the room.

The beds were so comfortable I didn’t want to get up! XD The hotel is gorgeous and cozy, built in a classic Alpine style with wood and stone. It’s well located, with an exceptional view, and the staff are unbeatable. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. 100% recommended!

The sunset and the views of Vasallo/Mandl Castle are incredible, and the pool is lovely. Breakfast was excellent too, and the staff were exceptionally warm. This architectural marvel is a real luxury for travelers who appreciate hotels from Argentina's Belle Époque. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with fine materials and impeccable taste. We’ll be back.

Compared with other hotels that are much more modern and better managed, this one is extremely expensive. The hotel is old and poorly maintained, the carpeting is awful, and our bathroom was filthy. We filed a complaint and it took them three days to respond.
