Hotel San Juan

Excellent location, and the staff are very attentive.

The beds are comfortable and breakfast is good, though they should offer more fruit. Room 9 had only a trickle of water in the shower, and its fan had just one slow speed. The hotel has a nice stone and wood look, like the ones in Embalse, but it feels run-down. The grounds and gardens especially need maintenance and modernization. By January 2026 there were fewer services, and it seems to keep getting worse. I don’t know how long it can go on like this.

The location is ideal, right across from the bus terminal and three blocks from the Giardino shopping center. I especially liked the Balcón del Encuentro at the back of the hotel, with its spectacular hill views. The hotel is spacious and clean, and the staff are helpful and attentive. The rooms are comfortable and have what you need, including tables, drawers, a wardrobe, Wi-Fi, TV, ceiling fan, heating and air conditioning. Room service is available, and there’s a full range of amenities. The pool is large, with lounge chairs that are great for sunbathing.

For a hotel that dates back to 1943, it's in really good shape. The style feels more classic, with a bit of a 90s look, so it isn't very modern, but the price is great for what you get. It's also in a very convenient location, very clean, and the service is excellent. I recommend it.
