Parking at the back was easy, and there’s a lovely backyard. Breakfast was a little too basic for us, though maybe we expected too much for the price. There were no vegetables, and the only eggs were hard-boiled and not cooked properly, so they were a pain to peel. The rest was fine. The building itself is pleasant and inviting, on a more remote street with an unpaved road, which seems common in that area. Our room was fairly comfortable and fairly clean, but some sheets and towels had light stains and the mattress showed its age. The bathroom was very clean. There’s no AC, just a noisy fan. The fridge was quite dirty, the shampoo satchel was annoyingly hard to open with wet hands, the safe deposit box was very small, and the curtains still let in a lot of morning light when closed. We clipped them together in the middle, but that didn’t solve it for our standards. Service felt strange. The gentleman who greeted us seemed appalled at the idea of communicating, definitely in English but also generally. It felt unwelcoming, even though we tried to speak broken Spanish first and use Google Translate when needed. One morning, a cleaning staff member knocked very loudly, then looked annoyed at her phone as I said we’d be leaving in ten minutes. We stayed for two nights and had a mediocre experience.
