Hotel Angostura

The deck view was the only thing I liked. My room was small, the bed was old, tiny, and noisy, and there was no TV. Breakfast was poor: the coffee tasted like dirty water, there wasn’t much variety, and they gave each person just one croissant. The restaurant was very expensive and the food wasn’t good. Patricia at the front desk was the only staff member who was kind and helpful. They call this a hotel, but to me it felt like a cheap hostel, and I wouldn’t recommend it. They also messed up my reservation and tried to move me from a lake view room to one with a tiny window overlooking the back of the property. I left a day early because I didn’t want that room. I’d wanted to leave earlier, but they said they’d charge me for two days if I did. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Built in 1938 by renowned architect Alejandro Bustillo, this hotel is part of the local history. It has a modest, affordable feel and was clean, with very polite and friendly staff. The view over classic Bahía Mansa is unique, and the location is excellent. If you’re after Villa la Angostura’s vintage experience, the rustic charm feels almost frozen in time.

The lake view is gorgeous, and the people serving us were extremely polite. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and loved the food, especially the many local choices. The service was very good. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food with a beautiful view.

The view is amazing and the place itself is good, but Angelica, the morning front desk person, isn’t ready to work with customers. Unfortunately, she ruined our stay.
