Fehu Container Loft

We booked through Despegar, with part of the payment by card and part in cash. I was supposed to get change, but the person who greeted us left without giving it to me, or offering tips, directions, or anything else. We had to clean the place before leaving and carry the garbage bags 30 meters up the mountain. The loft was nothing like the listing. A cardboard wall barely separated the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen was dirty, the sink was clogged, the faucet leaked, and the stove was broken. The bathroom was tiny, the shower taps were broken, and the windows were minuscule. Getting there was almost impossible, especially after nightfall. I didn't like it!

The apartment was a letdown. It hadn't been properly cleaned when we arrived: the bathroom sink was clogged, the shower curtain torn, the dish towel used, cobwebs around, and one of the two chairs was half broken. The guys who checked us in were very friendly, but the condition of the loft left a lot to be desired. We'd stayed in this same loft on vacation four years ago, when the owners were still running it, and the difference is huge. Such a shame. The place is very run down. Its location on top of a mountain is another issue. If you care about your car, I wouldn't recommend the rough dirt road, and it isn't suitable for older people or anyone with mobility problems.

Martín was so friendly, and the place is only a few minutes from downtown Villa La Angostura. It’s clean and really comfortable, with all the basics for a few days, including a grill, electric oven, kettle, and microwave. Definitely worth it. We’ll come back.

We were two people staying four nights, and everything worked out great. The owner who helped us was so kind and welcoming. We loved our stay and would happily return. Highly recommend it.
