Guardianes Del Bayo

We stayed in the dome for a few days in early May and really enjoyed it. Even on the cool days, the temperature inside felt just right, though the bathroom area was much colder. That's understandable with all that glass and such an incredible view, since it must be hard to keep the warmth in. The big tree right in front of the huge window did block the view of the snow-capped mountains, which was the one thing we didn't like. There were also a few small roof leaks, but they were easy to sort out. I'd definitely come back.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was okay. But we couldn't enjoy much during our stay. The heated pool was closed on two of the three days, and the water in the Jacuzzi in our room was cloudy. Our room faced the parking lot, so noise woke us up every morning and/or night. The hotel itself is lovely, which made it disappointing.

Both pools were spectacular, and the cabins were comfortable, a good size, and well equipped. The place is close to the center but far enough away to feel peaceful. The staff gave excellent service, especially Hector. We had a great experience and recommend it completely.

The photos gave me high expectations, but the place was run down and poorly maintained. When it rained, water leaked all over the dome, and they had to leave out a bucket and towels to catch it. I can't imagine how that would be in winter with snow. Cleaning was lacking, too. The indoor pool was fine, but the outdoor one was empty, so I can't comment on it. In the barbecue area, the arcade machine was broken and the pool table was in terrible shape. Outside, the ping-pong table wobbled, the foosball table was fallen over and neglected, and the air hockey table didn't work. Breakfast was okay, not excellent, and the receptionist's service was fine. Honestly, I wouldn't return.
