The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the lobby has fantastic lake views. It’s a rustic hosteria a little outside Villa la Angostura. The rooms are clean, though somewhat dated, and breakfast was average.

We tried the small restaurant and had the quarter chicken with mashed potatoes. It was wonderful, and the price was low compared with other places nearby. We’ll come back.

The lake views are spectacular, and this place feels truly cozy. It could use some maintenance, but the service and attention are very good. The location is handy too, right by the highway and just a few minutes from Cerro Bayo and downtown. This was my husband’s and my second stay, and we’d definitely come back.

My parents and brother were staying here, and I came for breakfast one day. The view is wonderful, and the facilities are pretty good, though a bit dated. Breakfast ran out of coffee near the end, which some people complained about. Another day there was no Wi-Fi at all. That’s unforgivable for a hotel charging in dollars.
