Ona Hotel

The room had no WiFi, which caught us by surprise since most hotels have it, especially a nice place like ONA seems to be. The bathroom was disappointing as well because the bathtub leaked. Aside from those two issues, the place was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The service was very good.

Internet is an issue, though the owner explained how some improvements could be made and said it’s a regional problem. Check with the front desk if you need more juice. The rooms could use some cooking appliances, but the place does the job. The pool is a real attraction, and a safe choice for family time on rainy or cloudy days. We spent a week there as part of a Cerro Bayo package and had an amazing stay. The facilities are modern and comfortable. Mercedes and Cecilia, who work the afternoon front desk, were super professional and kind, and their treatment of the kids was outstanding. The kids loved them. Ona would be an option for us if we visit the area again.

The bathrooms are quite old-fashioned, but everything works well. The heated pool is definitely the best part.

What a lovely place. The crew are funny and really friendly. Hope to see them again soon.
