The mountain view from the balcony was wonderful, and the location was good with plenty of parking. The compact apartment suited my wife, our two dogs, and me well. Having access to a washing machine would make a long stay easier, but otherwise it was perfect.

We set out after breakfast to hike through the nearby valleys and mountains, with plenty of chances to enjoy the scenery. Pension Bichlgeiger is in Anras, a quiet village of about 1,200 people. The rooms are lovely and well equipped, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived.

A good spot for a quiet mountain break. There are several ski resorts nearby in winter, and they weren't crowded. In summer, it's handy for hiking. The owners are welcoming, the rooms are clean, and the views are beautiful.

The breakfast buffet had lots of variety, and our newly renovated room was exceptionally clean. It also had a small kitchenette, a living room, and a large balcony facing the mountains. We were warmly welcomed at Pension Bichlgeiger, right in the center of Anras. The village itself is peaceful and beautiful, about a 20-minute drive from Lienz. We'd be happy to return :)

We came for a hiking trip in early August and had a really relaxing, idyllic holiday. The staff were so friendly and seemed to know what we needed before we asked. The house sits right in the mountains. You'll need a car, but from there everything is easy to reach. We'd love to come back!
