Getting to the Dachstein - West ski resort takes a bit of planning. There are three buses at 8, 8:30, and 10:30, and the ride is 20 minutes, though having a car solves that. The closest slope was a 30-minute walk away, but it was closed because there wasn't enough snow. Otherwise, the hotel, food, and service were great.

The food was perfect, and the wellness centre is probably the best I've seen in a hotel like this. There are four Finnish saunas, two steam rooms, and lots of space to relax, plus more. The whole place is cozy and comfortable, and everyone on staff is amazing. Mr Gutjahr is always around somewhere, looking after guests. Superb from beginning to end!

Five years on, I still remember that winter night as one of the lasting memories from our trip through Austria. An unexpected snowstorm left my spouse and me stranded in town, and while we were wandering around, we found this hotel. We hadn't booked, but the host welcomed us warmly and offered the best room still available at a great price. We got warm and spent a peaceful, cozy night there. In our hearts, it's the best 5-star hotel, and we hope to return someday.

Markus was a wonderful host, and we had a very pleasant stay. I could keep looking at the mountain view and breakfast photos for ages. The hotel welcomes pets, and meeting Lennox was a pleasure. ❤️

The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the views and location are amazing. Definitely recommend it!
