Leo gave us useful tips for local walks, and he and Helene were perfect hosts. We spent 10 nights in a very comfortable, quiet two-bedroom apartment that had everything we needed, including a small Spar supermarket downstairs. It was a great base for meeting family from Vienna and exploring beautiful Achensee. Gisi restaurant is excellent and just a 3-minute walk away. There's also a vending machine up the road selling fresh milk and cheeses from the local farmer. Highly recommended.

Leo and Helen are super nice and always ready to help. The apartment was extra clean, spacious and fully equipped for a family holiday with a dog. It's in the calm part near the lake, away from the busy center, which made it a perfect place to stay. A store is just downstairs, and you can walk to the lake or straight into the mountains without needing a car. You can also take a car or bus, with the bus stop in front of the house, for a few minutes to a lift near Rotspitz. It's beautiful around there for hiking, climbing, ferratas or just enjoying the views. I 100% recommend this place and really enjoyed it.

We stayed in apartment 11, which was huge, with two bedrooms and a massive living room-kitchen. Both balconies had wonderful views, and the apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Helene and Leo were so kind and welcoming. They provided a nice crib with bedding for our daughter, and we could bring our dog too. We absolutely loved our stay and will come back!

Helene & Leo are brilliant hosts who helped us with everything, from ski hire and ski school to restaurants. Apartment 11 has 6 beds, was very clean, and faces east & west. The main lift is just a 15 min walk away. I can highly recommend Haus Karoline if you're staying in Achenkirch!

We've returned again and again over the past ten years, and it's been lovely to see the apartments modernized and redecorated one by one. They're very nice and clean, well located for biking, skiing, hiking and even sailing in Archensee. The family always makes us feel very welcome and provides good service.
