We had such a good stay and would happily recommend it. The kitchen is great, and the staff are even better.

We booked directly with the property for one night and were met with lovely hospitality. The building seems almost new, the room was a good size, and the sofa converted easily into a bed for our 6-year-old. Sound insulation was excellent and the bathroom was very clean. The balcony view was amazing. We had the very tasty dinner, and rates may include half board. The woman in charge was lovely and brought a toy box for the kids, which they really enjoyed. Breakfast was pretty typical. There's no lift, though the stairs are well designed.

Summer here has plenty to offer. Mountain hikes start right behind the place, and the quiet country road is good for mountain biking. During the few days of the Ennstal Classic in July, a famous vintage car rally, you can watch from your apartment balcony. Max and Bettina also arrange Tuesday outings to a mountain hut for fishing or a short hike and dinner. It's stunning up there. Kollerhof is peaceful but still handy for skiing and nightlife. The ski bus gets you to Hauser Kaibling and Schladming in a few minutes, free with a lift pass. Bettina, Max and their staff create such a friendly atmosphere that even bad weather feels manageable. Breakfast and dinner are superb. If you're in one of the self-catering apartments next to the hotel, book dinner at the restaurant next door. Rooms are very clean, and the apartments are newly decorated and refurbished. I'd give it five stars as apartments and three as a hotel.
