The food was excellent, with a menu full of specialties made from domestic products. The hotel is in a great location, with authentic antique furniture throughout the hallways, rooms, and restaurant. Everything was clean and very well maintained. There are facilities for children out front. Great!

The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful, and our kids happily spent a morning exploring. With more time, we could easily have made this a destination resort. Breakfast each morning was very good too. It's an older building with lots of character, and it's lovingly maintained. There is no air conditioning, though, and during the heatwave our rooms got pretty warm. Opening the windows brought in a nice breeze. We learned to switch the lights off first to keep the insects out. Still, we had a wonderful, memorable stay. The WiFi was fast and strong on the first and second floors, but weak on the third. That could be improved.

The staff were kind, the location was good, and the food was really good. They made vegan and vegetarian meals for us. The room could've been a little warmer.

We didn't stay overnight, but gave the unique mini golf a try. It's more like a mini pool. I'd recommend it.
