The spa was a real highlight. We loved the daily sauna ceremonies and the choice of sauna and steam experiences. From the main sauna, you can watch the sunset over the mountains, see the landscape and snowcat lights as night comes on, and even spot Inner Alpbach in the distance. It was such a peaceful way to unwind after skiing. The Pure Nature Spa is adults only, so we didn't feel crowded by families. We went at the end of half term, skiing the last week of February into the first of March, and noticed Alpbach's family friendly, fun atmosphere shift once half term ended. Getting there by public transport from Innsbruck was easy, which helped as I'm a nervous traveller. The bus from Brixlegg stops just outside Der Böglerhof, and ski storage is on that side too, so catching the ski bus to the gondola meant very little walking in boots with skis. We came to Alpbach as our fourth Tyrol destination, and it has become a firm favourite. Our room was quiet, cozy, and characterful, mixing modern touches with historic charm. We were lucky to have a balcony facing a mountain sunset, though most evenings we watched it from the spa instead. Our days were pretty much ski, spa, eat. We were on three-quarter board and often missed lunch while out, but dinner was consistently a lovely end to the day. The food was phenomenal, especially the creative meat dishes, and portions were just right. We like half or three-quarter board on a ski trip because it lets you try local food at a high standard. The staff were friendly and helpful, and communication before we arrived was brilliant. Our ski passes were ready when we got there, and whenever we needed help, we got it. The sauna masters were a joy too. Sauna ceremonies can feel daunting, but they made us comfortable trying something new. Alpbach and Der Böglerhof gave us everything we love about Austria and Tyrol. One of our best holidays, and a firm recommendation.

We're coming back for the fifth year in a row, and somehow it keeps getting better. It feels like our home away from home, with wonderful staff, delicious food, and a safe place for the kids where parents can relax and enjoy the holiday. Can't wait for next year.

The family really cares about guests, and you can feel that this is a family-run hotel. We had the best vacation and will definitely return. The natural surroundings were stunning, with trails for all ages and fitness levels. Each day we found a new hike, often from a suggestion in the hotel's daily newsletter. We also enjoyed the daily menu choices and the flexibility, and the service was outstanding. Live music twice a week was a lovely extra. Traveling with our three-year-old and cat wasn't the easiest, but we were treated with real personal care. We could request room cleaning while taking our cat for a walk, which was so convenient. The hotel is great for families, with several areas where children can play. The kids' club impressed us most: my daughter loves crafts, and we made something there every day with a range of materials and activities beyond what I have at home. The playground was great too. Families can use a spa area with a heated pool and four saunas where swimsuits are allowed. There's also a breathtaking adults-only spa, with warm and cold pools and a wide range of saunas.

We picked this hotel for our honeymoon and stayed in the penthouse suite with half board, breakfast and dinner. It was easily the best hotel we've ever visited. The suite was beautiful and had everything we could think of, from blankets and bath salts to lotions and fresh fruit. We loved the wellness area, which felt beautiful and deeply relaxing. The sauna and peeling experiences were great, as were the massages. We also enjoyed the cooking class with the head chef, and every meal was delicious. The hotel had clearly thought through all the details, from the clean rooms to the many activities on offer, including yoga and bike rental. The staff were so friendly that by the end we felt like regulars. We appreciated the complimentary jam they gave us when we left, and we'd definitely come back.

We found the hotel during a web search while planning a surprise for my partner's 40th birthday, and I'm so glad we did. The Boeglerhof team made the holiday one of our best, and we'll definitely return. The mountain setting is stunning, with panoramic views and easy access to hiking, biking, and walks. The hotel itself is full of history, and as a family run place it feels like every team member is involved in giving guests a great experience. From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming, kind, and attentive, and we felt at home and free to explore the different spaces. Our two bedroom family suite was modern, spotless, and wonderfully quiet, with ultra-comfortable beds. They'd thought of small details too, including a rucksack, spa bag, and children's robes in the room. The family spa has indoor and outdoor pools and feels luxurious. The adults only spa is a beautiful private escape, and it blew us away. At the restaurant, the daytime atmosphere is relaxed, then it gets cozy and luxurious in the evening. We were impressed by the choice of food and the set dinner menus, with additional menus available for a small supplement if nothing on the set menu appealed. We ordered the sharing steak as a birthday treat, and it was exceptional, like every other meal.
