Boutiquehotel die Alpbacherin

The ski bus stopping right outside made getting around so easy, and we had a really comfortable ski holiday. The food was very good, too. A special thanks to the cleaners, who did a great job even with our cat in the room, and to all the staff for making the stay memorable.

We had a clean, lovely room with plenty of space, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There wasn't really a view from the room, though.

We booked in November for quite a lot of money, with the possibility of an upgrade, but weren't given priority and ended up in the worst room section. Nobody seemed to look into it or explain anything, and we got no help. Even though our booking was for two adults and teenagers aged 12 and 16, they seated us in the small children's section next to the playroom. The hotel looks recently renovated and has the facilities you need for skiing. Service was about what I'd expect from a boutique hotel. Our room was large but very minimalist: it was a double bedroom for four, with two people sleeping on a sofa bed, and there was a kettle and tea but only two cups for four people. The wellness area was in good condition, especially the outdoor heated pool, but it didn't seem built for many guests. I wouldn't recommend staying here in high season.

The infinity pool overlooking the mountains was magical, and the small spa was lovely too. We found the rooms very comfortable and well equipped, the service and staff were great, and the food went beyond what we expected. I'd strongly recommend it for a relaxing stay in Alpbach.
